A Comet's Tale...

A Mother-star residing in a nearby galaxy had plenty of planets as children around her. They would go round and round the Mother-star and derived warmth from her.

Once a Comet from a distant galaxy was pulled to this Mother-star. It was the first time that the Comet had seen such a wonderful star with so many planets. As the Comet came close to the Mother-star, it asked "Which among your children planets do you like the best?" The Mother-star replied, "Son, you don't understand" and remained silent. The Comet whizzed off on its voyage. Eons later, the Comet came back. This time it found that there were very few planets around the Mother-star. The Comet, when it came close to the Mother-star asked - "What happened to your children planets?" The Mother-star replied, "Son, you don't understand", she smiled and remained silent. The Comet whizzed off on its voyage.

After a 1000 million years, the Comet came back to the galaxy of the Mother-star. It found that there were no planet children and the Mother-star was dying. The Comet became very sad and asked the Mother-star - "What happened to all your children planets. Are you also going to die?" The Mother-star replied - "Son, you will soon understand", she smiled and as the Comet accelerated past the galaxy, the Mother-star died.

The Comet was sad and confused. Then the Comet came by a dark region of space and it suddenly realized that it had grown 1000 times in splendour.

A child's view of Thunderstorms...

A little girl walked to and from school daily.

Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trek to the elementary school. As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up along with lightning.

The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school and she feared the electrical storm might harm her child. Full of concern, the mother quickly got into her car and drove along the route to her child's school. As she did, she saw her little girl walking along.

At each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up, and smile. Another and another flash of lighting followed quickly and with each, the little girl would look at the streak of light and smile.

When the mother's car drew up beside the child, she lowered the window and called to her “What are you doing?”

The child answered, “I am trying to look pretty because God keeps taking my picture.”

Wish you a good day today and everyday as you face the storms that come your way.

Marriage - Kahlil Gibran

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.
